About the cable car

The journey on the cable car begins in the heart of the city, where modern cabins take tourists to a height of over 1000 meters in just a few minutes. Along the way, you can see ancient fortress walls and green slopes covered with pine and olive trees.

The Kotor-Lovćen Cable Car was opened on August 14, 2023. Its length is 3900 meters and the ascent takes 11 minutes. The highest point is 1348 meters above sea level.

Operating hours

Operating hours: from 9 am to 9 pm, with the last ride at 8:30 pm in the summer. In the fall, the operating hours are shorter due to early sunset.

At the top, there is an observation platform with a panorama of the Bay of Kotor, one of the most beautiful in the world. It is an ideal spot for photography and quiet contemplation of the greatness of nature with which Montenegro has been generously endowed.
